Halloween is almost upon us and homes all over the country will be frantically thinking up ideas for that seasonal, scary party. This year why not try and make it a little more special and make some ghoulishly gruesome Halloween sweets with a difference? Halloween is a lot of fun for all the family. It is not just restricted to the younger members who get their kicks from trick or treating the neighbours for Halloween sweets. Adults can have a rare old time as well and, with a little imagination, really push the boat out in the Halloween sweets stakes.
To get things off with a swing think costumes. Remember how certain sweets coloured the tongue for ages after eating them? Blackjacks were brilliant at doing this if enough were consumed, so this could be the basis of making the face up, perhaps painting it green with black lips and red eye sockets to go with that black tongue.Maybe a large witch`s cloak could have lots of little jelly monsters sewn onto it. The children will love pulling them off these Halloween sweets and eating them as the witch creeps through the party casting spells.
